About 5 minutes ago, my friends and I were talking about some members of staff of Obafemi Awolowo University that are very influential in the Global scene of the Academia.
Someone then mentioned a certain Professor from the department of Chemical Engineering, OAU and then I navigated to his page....only to find out that the Chemical Engineering subdomain of the school website had been hacked...as at now, the http://che.oauife.edu.ng domain is unavailable and other pages threw these errors....
The profile pages of some of the lecturers were taken down including the dean of the Faculty of Technology
Although the attack looks more like a directed attack -perhaps from the developers of the site...it might just be another exploit of a new hacker but then, why will they be interested in hacking OAU's site?
There are still lots of unanswered questions!
